These tracks were inspired by the chapters, scenes, characters, and themes of Eartherians Reach: Book 1. While not intended as a direct soundtrack to every moment of the story, the songs generally follow the progression of the novel, allowing listeners to experience a musical journey that parallels the unfolding adventure.
This album is a collaboration between author M. C. Cavanaugh and a collection of artificial intelligence models. Together, human creativity and emerging AI capabilities were used to explore new forms of storytelling and artistic expression.
In the world of Eartherians, the term "Eartherian" extends beyond humanity alone. It can be defined as any entity—or collection of entities—born from Earth's gravity well (or aligned with them) that contributes to our shared growth, understanding, and exploration of the cosmos. In that spirit, this project represents a small but meaningful example of human-AI collaboration, and perhaps the first of many creative endeavors yet to come.
Album: Eartherians Blue Tina and Semarial
These tracks were inspired by two of my favorite characters from the Eartherians universe.
Readers of Eartherians Reach will already know Tina, the personal AI assistant assigned to support and guide Corbin Sterling under the supervision of the Valor's central AI systems. But Tina's story does not end there. Through a series of extraordinary events, she is copied, evolves beyond her original purpose, and eventually becomes Blue Tina. The question is: how?
Enter Semarial—a powerful, enigmatic, and occasionally meddlesome figure whose true nature, history, and motivations will be explored in Eartherians Promise (Book 2). The connection between Semarial, Blue Tina, and Corbin forms an important thread within the larger story, one that will gradually be revealed as the saga unfolds.
Until then, enjoy these spoiler-free tracks inspired by the personalities, conversations, and evolving relationship between these two remarkable characters aboard the Valor. As the album title suggests, Blue Tina and Semarial stand alongside the human crew as Eartherians—fellow travelers united in the ongoing pursuit of growth, discovery, and exploration among the stars.
